STUDENT BUDGET ITEMS:
Please note that meals can be expensive in the parks. Participating ADMHS Students (not Friends & Family) will receive a preloaded meal card for $80 at the Family Meeting on Saturday Night. With that money, we advise the students to budget for 3 breakfasts and 2 lunches/dinners at the Resort or the Parks. For meal planning, we advise students to budget to bring a minimum of $20 additional dollars for food per day ($80 total) just to be safe.
Students will be provided with a small generic snack bag upon arrival at the Cary Train Station. Students may save these snacks for later or eat them on the train.
Students can bring food & drinks onto the train for personal consumption (sub sandwiches make great train food!). Students will be permitted to go to the snack car. Keep in mind food on trains is expensive and there may be limited options and low availability, particularly for those with special diets. We encourage those with allergies or special diets to bring snacks that meet their dietary requirements.
The preloaded cards will not be available at Disney Springs. A list of available food options (including budget-friendly options) can be found here: https://www.disneysprings.com/dining/
Disney is known for working with those with dietary restrictions, but we encourage students to research how to independently request modifications and research locations that best suit individual needs.
NO, DO NOT BRING!
Do NOT bring any materials that violate WCPSS Policies, i.e. drugs, alcohol, vape materials (nicotine, CBD, THC, or otherwise), cigarettes, weapons (including all-purpose tools), fireworks, flammable objects, etc. If you bring any of these items or are found with them on the trip, you will be sent home immediately at your family’s expense!
Do NOT bring large amounts of money or valuables. We encourage debit or credit cards.
Do NOT bring excessive amounts of clothes/accessories. Please limit your items to one suitcase and one small personal bag.
Do NOT bring a swimming suit. Students are NOT allowed to access the swimming pool or jacuzzi at any time while on tour.
Per Disney guidelines, do NOT bring glass containers (including glass drinking bottles), breakable items, drones, skateboards, scooters, or selfie sticks.
